Ms Duffy’s 1st and 2nd Class are in Room 15.
Hello from all the boys and girls in Room 15. We have been very busy this term getting to know our new friends, making the jump to 1st and 2nd class, learning ukulele and violin, dancing and tennis training….to name a few!
We have settled well into our new classroom and we have decorated it with all our beautiful art work. We have been learning lots about frogs, fresh water animals and pond life. We did our first ever group projects showing all the information we have learned about frogs…. Did you know frogs never close their eyes? We made cartoon frogs in art and learned ‘We all Stand Together’ in music.
We have been learning all about ourselves and where we live. We looked at the work of Pablo Piscasso, we decided to make quirky cubism inspired self-portraits. We looked at our local area and made maps of Citywest Drive. For art we made beautiful city skylines.
We have spent the month of October learning about Feasts and Festivals. The first festival we looked at is Día Del Muertos in Mexico. We made crazy ‘Coco’ inspired skeletons. We are also celebrating maths week, we went on a really great maths trail around our school and used our maths detective skills to find 2D shapes.
